  1. I love these recipes and love to cook but don't have a lot of cookware

    1. You don't really need a lot Kimberly! You essentially need a saucepan, a Dutch oven, and a medium to large sized skillet to start and that will give you what you need. You can slowly build up from there.

  2. Hi Mary! I absolutely love this site. I've found so many recipes from my childhood that I'd forgotten about. I have a recipe request for you, when I was in high school my friends Mom served a lettuce wedge with a sweet dressing that was like Mayo and sugar or maybe Miracle Whip and sugar but it was so good. I've tried to recreate but haven't hit it yet. She also had apple dumplings but they were soft and cake like instead of a pie crust. Hope you can help. I just turned my daughter on to your site (I have spent hours here, it's just so great) Thanks -- Nina

    1. Oh Nina, thanks so much! You put the perfect icing on the day with this comment!!!

On the wedge salad, I'm wondering if what your mom used was boiled dressing? You can find my recipe for it
here if you want to try it.

On the apple dumplings I don't know one that's cake-like, but if it's more biscuity, you can use my fried pie dough here for the dumpling wrap.

      Hope that helps!!
