Let's get to it!

A Croatian deep-fried fritter that is fruit and citrus based and well-loved here where I'm from!

A classic southern cake that usually makes its appearance over the Christmas holidays.

These
'Pecan Tassies' are a southern Christmas favorite for sure!

Little bite sized pecan desserts, made with a cream cheese pastry crust baked with a brown sugar-based pecan filling.

What is Christmas without some variation of these traditional 'Magic Cookie Bars?'

With layers of graham crackers, sweetened condensed milk, chocolate and sometimes butterscotch chips, or even a combination of them, coconut and nuts, but no matter how you layer them, these classic Magic Cookie Bars are addictive!

One of the easiest candies to make, this Tiger Butter Bark is made using almond bark candy coating mixed with peanut butter, topped with chopped peanuts and melted semi-sweet chocolate chips.

Rum or bourbon balls made with crushed vanilla wafers, powdered sugar, cocoa, ground nuts and bourbon or rum. Balls may be rolled in a variety of coatings including powdered sugar, cocoa mixed with powdered sugar, ground nuts or crushed cookies.

A tender brown sugar and pecan cookie widely known in South Louisiana as cocoons and very popular around the holidays. Pictured here with Pecan Crispies and Sugar and Spice Cookies, both recipes are on my website too!

These are a holiday tradition! Made with pecans, cashews, walnuts or almonds, tossed first in an egg white wash, then dredged in a sugar and spice mix and slow roasted. Add a tiny pinch of cayenne for a little kick.

I don't know how it started, but some variation of this mix has become a Christmas favorite both for snacking and gifting!
