This is a great option if you're having a smaller, more intimate gathering to oven roast a large hen or small turkey.

A traditional baked ham popular in the south, glazed with a mixture of brown sugar, pineapple and mustard, and a little whisky if you're so inclined, baked in a 7-up or ginger ale tub and decorated with cloves, pineapple rings and cherries.

Made from canned peach halves and a spiced vinegar and brown sugar syrup - a perfect holiday side!

A cornbread and bread dressing, made with tart apple, hot sausage and pecans. Visit the website for more of my dressing recipes!

Oven roasted chunks of carrots, tossed with olive oil, seasonings, cayenne, balsamic vinegar and honey.

Move over Cracker Barrel copycats - this is my ultra ultra cheesy hash brown casserole and it started as an accident!

A classic Deep South bread-based dressing, in memory of the way my Mama made her dressing, made with torn French bread, vegetables and fresh Gulf oysters with their liquor. Pick up my Cornbread Oyster Dressing here.

A casserole made with fresh broccoli and cauliflower, in a simple butter roux-based white sauce made with The Trinity, a little cheese in the base, and topped off with those buttery crackers we all love so much... and a little more cheese.

I call these yams, because, well, that's what we call our sweet potatoes prepared this way in the South, even though yes, we are well aware that they are not a true "yam." They are our beloved sweet potatoes that are cooked, peeled and cut into chunks and then baked in a spiced, sugar syrup and they are delicious!!

Apple pie made with mixed apples and mango jam or apple jelly and pictured here with a drizzle of caramel sauce.
