Social Media Roundup FOOTBALL FOOD!

Yep, y'all... it's STILL Summer! I know, I know...

Labor Day has passed.

Kids are back to school.

And football is back!

While some of my recent social media shares have been a slight nod to the coming Fall weather and particularly appetizers and snacks for football season, we're also still hanging with some of the summer favorites too, at least for the next couple of weeks anyway.

My potted mint struggled a bit this summer, but it's making a comeback! Time for some adult mojitos and maybe a little sweet tea infused with fresh mint.

The Vidalia onion season is near the end y'all, so get them in while you can! Caramelizing the onions for this classic sour cream and onion dip really takes it up a notch.

You may have seen this this sour cream and mayonnaise dip on social media recently, made with Ranch dressing mix, shredded cheddar and bacon, it's a sure game day winner!

Fresh jalapeno peppers are blanched then stuffed with a bacon and cream cheese, cheddar cheese, Monterey Jack blend, dipped in buttermilk, rolled in flour and deep fried. Yum!

The air fryer makes an easy job of chicken wings for the game y'all!

Jumbo shrimp, tossed in an olive oil and lemon Cajun seasoned marinade, skewered with onion, bell pepper and tomato and grilled.

Meaty, garlicky, beef and pork meatballs served on po'boy or sandwich rolls, dressed with a Creole sauce made from the trinity and tomatoes, and topped with shredded Mozzarella cheese. Great with pasta too!

A little trinity, a few key seasonings and you'll have a homemade sloppy joe that'll beat any canned version hands down.

It's the best of late summer and early fall vegetables roasted with sliced smoked sausage, all tossed with an olive oil, vinegar and herb-based dressing. Great gametime munchie!

Spicy crawfish in a rich and creamy butter and cream sauce, doused generously with Cajun seasoning, and tossed with rotini pasta. Your guests will love it! Great with shrimp too.

This dessert is known by many names, but whatever you call it, it is soooo good y'all and frankly impossible for me to stay out of. It's a perfect, rich dessert for game day!
