Also known as Texas Tommy dogs, I know these sure make my mouth water y'all because this is just absolute deliciousness for us hot dog lovers and, so easy to make.

Here's how to make my Crescent Wrapped Cheesy Bacon Hot Dogs!

Since I was already using the grill for hot dogs, why not cook the bacon there too? And leave the drippings for the hot dogs? Yes! By the way, I'm doing a half recipe here y'all (and just baking the remaining crescent rolls) and I'm using an indoor tabletop grill because it's just too flippin' hot out there this summer!

Don't overcook the bacon though - just render off the fat - because we need some pliability to wrap them around the hot dogs and much as I love crispy bacon, this isn't the time or place! Drain on paper towels.

Meanwhile, cut a split into the hot dogs lengthwise on one side.

We're not fully grilling them because they will finish in the oven, but I do like to get a little bit of char on them, so while you can just wrap them in the dough right out of the package, I like to grill them on my indoor grill for about 2 minutes per side, just long enough to get some nice grill marks. You can also blanch them in boiling water or pan fry them if you don't want to use them right out of the package.

Turn and char on the other side.

Remove and set aside on paper towels and let cool enough to handle. Cut slices of cheese to insert into the slits.

Stuff the hot dogs with the cheese.

Wrap a piece of the parcooked bacon around each hot dog and place onto the wide part of the crescent roll.

Place rolls onto a baking sheet leaving space in between each roll.

By the way, in this summer heat I've been using my countertop oven, which frankly is one of the best kitchen purchases I've ever made. I purchased mine when my full size, nearly new range was on the blitz and I enjoyed using it so much that I haven't stopped even after the big stove was repaired!

Mine is a French door, 10 in 1 Oster (#ad), though the air fryer, bake, roast, toast and pizza settings are the ones I use the most. I LOVE mine y'all, and I do all of my summertime baking in mine!

Bake at 375 degrees F about 10 to 12 minutes or until puffed and light golden brown. Serve warm as is, or with your favorite condiments or dipping sauces.
