Thanks so much to all of y'all - those who have just found my little corner of the web and those who have been here from the beginning. I enjoy hearing from you in the comments here and the emails you send to me.
When I started this site, I could count the southern recipe blogs on one hand. Today there are hundreds of us, from home cooks like me, some quite ambitious to win you over from the rest, to magazine, television, celebrity and corporate websites, and personal blogs authored by professionally trained chefs.
I am grateful and humbled that you choose Deep South Dish as one of your many sources when looking for southern recipes and I look forward to sharing even more recipes in this brand new year.

DeleteHey Mary, happy new year! I got here looking for my dear Granny's recipe for miniature sour cream biscuits and I see your recipe is just about exactly the same as hers. I wonder if you have a moment could you tell me where your recipe came from? I would just be interested in learning maybe how she came by her recipe nice they are alike. My dear Granny; every time I eat from her recipes it is as though she is with us again.
ReplyDeleteI meant to write "since" they are alike, not "nice" they are alike! Oops.
DeleteHi BK! I think you mean the butter bombs? It's just one of those non-recipe recipes that's been around forever & is easy to remember - 1 stick butter, 1 cup sour cream, 2 cups SR flour. Have no idea where I first learned it but it's been years ago!
DeleteHey thanks! Well, it sure is good! Must be another non-recipe recipe then ... Just like cornbread is
DeleteIf you do not have flour you can take a cup of a sauce with some potatoes and liquify it in a food processor. Then pour it back on the soup and stir. Thanks for sharing. Was delicious!
ReplyDeleteHi Kathy! I'm not sure how your comment landed here, but so glad you enjoyed the soup!
