| Let me introduce you to my little friend... |
Blue Bell Southern Blackberry Cobbler Ice Cream.
O.M.G. y'all.
Cindy, a reader over on the Facebook page mentioned she had seen this version in the store the other day so I went looking for it today. And there it was.
Familiar and deliciously creamy Blue Bell ice cream, with swirls of blackberry sauce, and chunks of flaky pie crust pastry mixed in.
And, unlike a bazillion other products that have been shrunk in size... Blue Bell is still a half gallon.
A half gallon of love.
Even The Cajun who is generally not all that adventurous when it comes to ice cream, gobbled it up.
Go get some.
Disclosure: I received no compensation for this post and I purchased this delectable Southern Blackberry Cobbler Ice Cream out of my own pocket. The good folks over at Blue Bell have no idea who I am. I'm just an ice cream lovin' gal who wanted to share my new crush with everybody willing to read this. Now what are you waitin' for .. go, get some!

Great. Now my big butt is doomed. I'm asking the family to hide my car keys so I won't drive to the grocery store. Maybe I'll just lick my monitor instead.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely EVIL!
ReplyDeleteI'd do anything for some Blue Bell!!! I grew up with at least 2, 1/2 gallons in the freezer and now live in an area where I can only get a vanilla scoop at a resturant (for the price of a 1/2gallon)!!!! On the really bad days I make a special run, because once youve had Blue Bell, NOTHING tastes as good. count your blessings yall can run to the grocery store and pick flavors!
ReplyDeleteTry living in Brenham! Every grocery store, convenience store and restaurant in town has it. You cannot go anywhere in this town without seeing the words "Blue Bell." It is hard to stay on a diet with all the temptation. Abby, you are right - once you have had Blue Bell nothing else will do. I laugh when journalists talk about various ice creams and how good they are. I have had the ones they talk about (not about to mention the inferior brands) and they are disgusting. If they only knew what they are missing. Actually, I'm glad they don't know what they are missing. More for us.
ReplyDeleteI'd never heard of Blue Bell until we visited our Texas kids several years ago and made a pit stop between San Antonio and Del Rio. The convenience store had hand dipped Blue Bell and we had our first taste - very good.
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen this yet, but I'm on my way out the door now to find it. I love Blue Bell anything!
ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely the best brand ice cream out there. And I love that they have not reduce the size of their package and upped the price as a result.
ReplyDeleteI have just recently found their Cherry Cheesecake flavor....OH MY GOODNESS!!
You can join their website and once a month you can print out 2 coupons each for $1.00 off their ice cream. Comes in really handy when my local store has it BOGOF.
We ALWAYS have some Blue Bell ice cream in our freezer.
Unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately) I've never seen that ice cream brand in this area! It sounds delicious!
ReplyDeleteBlue Bell is awesome. grew up with it and it is the best.
ReplyDeletetoured the factory in Brenham also. best part is the end - they give u a scoop of ice cream!
The olny thing better than Blue Bell is real Italian Gelatto. They have a flavor with Nutella in it. So, not being able to get that, Blue Bell will do. And I think if they made some with Nutella the world would stop for ice cream.
ReplyDeleteSob - No blue bell in the land of rain and moss! I miss it so!
ReplyDeleteI am agreeing with Short and Sassy... i am suffering through my wife's desire to fit into her old jeans, so we are dieting for the next couple of weeks... i need some of this BAD!
ReplyDeleteEvil, pure and simple
We are loving Made in the Shade Blue Bell right now. I do LOVE blue bell!!
ReplyDeleteBlue Bell... my FAVORITE ice cream!! Love them all.. and especially Black Walnut !
ReplyDeleteI am getting groceries today and have put this on my list!!! Can't wait!
ReplyDeletethis native Texan is sobbing! Its worth moving back home just to wrap my lips around some Peaches and Cream! I wonder if they ship ?

ReplyDeleteThere is no ice cream in the world better than Blue Bell. I am currently 6 months pregnant and would give up a whole lot for some. We are stationed in NJ so none for us here and none at our next station either. I can only get it when I go home.
ReplyDeleteI've heard a lot about it but never have had it.
ReplyDeleteI haven't found a Blue Bell flavor I didn't love, but I have to say, made in the shade and southern blackberry cobbler are our favorites. I lived in Oklahoma and first had it there. Now live in Colorado and we didn't have it until just recently. They can't keep it on the shelves. I've had to cut back due to gaining weight from eating it almost every night! lol
ReplyDeleteNothing but Blue Bell for me. Their Homemade Vanilla tastes just like homemade ice cream, also very similar to Chick Filet Ice Dream. As a matter of fact at a minor league baseball game concession stand, I asked for a cup of Ice Dream from the Chick Filet concession. They winked and said they only had milkshakes but I could get a cup of Blue Bell. I laughes and said, I love Blue Bell because it does taste just like your ice cream. Hum! Makes you wonder. Can't wait to try the new flavor. I buy 2 full gallons when it's on sale to keep. So far the Homemade Vanilla & Butter Pecan are my favorites. Maybe now I'll have a new one.
ReplyDeleteWe totally LOVE Blue Bell ice cream. And I've just got to run out and get this flavor! I'm afraid that I'll eat the whole durn thing though, Mary! What a diet buster!
ReplyDeleteWe don't get Blue Bell here in Northern Virginia. Waaahh! :( This former Okie misses it. Once in a while we find some Blue Bunny up here, but no Blue Bell... Technically, we're below the Mason Dixon line here, but this area of the country is so metropolitan. Sigh, I miss the country!
ReplyDeleteBlue Bell and world peace....that's what I pray for! LOL!!! OK, I don't pray for Blue Bell because I can (and do) have it often (I live in Texas), but I am convinced that those who harbor hatred for America have NEVER had Blue Bell!
ReplyDeleteOh My, I recently went out and purchased this flavor after seeing it on here, and I must say it is divine! Although the Blue Bell Banana Pudding is my absolute favorite, this is a close second.
ReplyDeleteI know Tarsha! I stopped by the store on my way to visit the grands & looked for the new flavor called "Dessert Trio" to bring over. It's got chocolate chip cookies, pecan brownies and chocolate-coated cake - hello big chocolate yum! Anyway, they didn't have it yet & I saw the Blackberry Cobbler & so wanted to grab that one. Wasn't sure if they kids would like it though, so I grabbed the Sundae version instead. I really really really wanted that Blackberry Cobbler!!
ReplyDeleteBlue Bell is the best ice cream in the country, so the song goes!....and it is sooo true....Living here in Texas I think I have tried just about every flavor, and loved everyone....I loved the Cantaloupe and cream, it was seasonal for a couple of years, now they don't make it....Oh, it was the best....Just think, Peach Cobbler with a dip of Blue Bell homemade vanilla ice cream on it....YumOh!!
ReplyDeleteSounds good to me!
ReplyDeleteI've been living in Yankee purgatory since Katrina, and just looking at that picture made me cry. Oh, how I'd love to have some Blue Bell!
ReplyDeleteAw Christine BIG OLE HUGS!!! I know how hard that must be too having to leave "home." Things are improving down here, but it ain't been easy I tell ya! Maybe one day you'll be able to make it back.
