Bell's Seasoning Copycat

A great combination of seasonings, perfect for dressing and stuffing, but has a multitude of uses also.

Bell's Seasoning Copycat

You can purchase Bell's seasoning at a variety of stores across the nation, yes, even in the south (yes, now even in my south) or online from a number of sources, but if you've forgotten to pick it up, this is a copycat version that you can get by with in the meantime. Use it to season burgers, meatloaf, chicken, soups, stews, and more, but especially stuffing!

If you think this sounds yummy, I'd sure it if you'd click to pin it, tweet it, stumble it, or share it on Facebook to help spread the word - thanks!

Prep time: 5 min | Yield: About 1/2 cup

  • 4-1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 4 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 3-3/4 teaspoon dried sage
  • 3-1/2 teaspoon ground dried ginger
  • 3 teaspoon dried marjoram
  • 2-3/4 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

Mix together and grind to fine powder using a coffee or spice grinder.

Bell's seasoning is great as a seasoning for meats and is excellent in meatloaf and burgers also, so you'll find lots of uses for this blend.

Makes about 1/2 cup

  1. Thank you! My mom gave me the recipe for her stuffing and I couldn't find Bell's seasoning anywhere. Thank you for saving Thanksgiving!

  2. Hi Nicole! I hope that it worked out for you! Happy Thanksgiving!!

  3. It is the best for fried chicken!

  4. I've NEVER heard of Bell's seasoning nor do I see it in grocery stores. Where I shop, they are so behind the times. So I'll be making this homemade version for sure. Now, are you ladies willing to tell me how to use this seasoning blend in fried chicken? I'll be forever grateful to you. Thanx for your response.

    1. I was shocked when I saw it down here at our local Walmart! When Thanksgiving and Christmas roll around, check the seasoning and spices section. It often makes an appearance then. For fried chicken, I add about 1/4 teaspoon to my flour blend, for baked chicken and other meats you can also just add it to your other seasonings before sprinkling it on the meats.
